Aggreko, a world leader in temporary
electrical energy, temperature control and compressed air oil-free solutions, announces
the launch of a new industrial refrigeration rental solution, which will be
available in France on the second quarter of 2008 and in Spain on the second
semester of 2008.
 Named
TowerPack 1500, this temperature control system is especially aimed at the
chemical, petrochemical, farmaceutical, agrofood and heavy industries, among
others, as well as at the terciary/health sector. TowerPack 1500 has been
designed to provide a cooling capacity of 10 to 15 MW, with a maximum capacity
of 1500m³/h. A real turnkey solution, the set includes 4 refrigeration modules,
3 pumps (one of them for emergency situations), an ARGUS information collection
and control management system, and an electric distribution kit (cabinets,
cables) for a simple conection at the client’s facilities. Aggreko can connect
up to 16 TowerPack 1500 units so that they work as a single cooling tower with
a capacity of 240 MW.
According to the company’s press release, this rental solution offers
the following advantages to the end user: uninterrupted operation of the
client’s production facilities during replacement, repair or maintenance of its
fixed cooling towers; more power, as Aggreko’s cooling towers can be used
parallel to the client’s towers in order to boost its cooling power during the
hottest months; search for the best solution for the client, from an economic
point of view (TowerPack 1500 represents an alternative, when possible, to the
use of chilled water production groups, which use more energy); and the end of
industrial water treatment and legionela contamination problems, thanks to the
cooperation with specialized water treatment entities. |
