Bitzer
Group recently established its sales business in Japan to substantially market and
sell its line of compressors, parts and related services in this country. Bitzer
Japan K.K. held an opening ceremony during HVACR Japan Expo, which was attended
by the top management.
Mr. Peter Schaufler,Managing Director of Bitzer Group, commented in his
opening speech: We are glad and proud to be here now. Bitzer Japan will be our 33rd company in the Group.
He continued: We would like to provide our knowhow in high quality screw,
semihermetic and aluminium compressor technology, and from 2009 on a full range
of scrolls for ACs. We can provide field tested expertise in
environmentally friendly gases like CO2 in sub- and transcritical aplications.
In Japan,
Bitzer compressors have been available for more than 20 years, but they were
sold only in small quantity by minor agents. According
to JARN magazine, in comparison with the expanding sales of Bitzer products in
the emerging Asian compressor market, its presence in Japan has been
unsatisfactory. The Japanese market is saturated, highly competitive and controled
by world leading manufacturers (Hitachi,
Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric (Melco) and Copeland). Bitzer,
which has been the most successful compressor manufacturer in China, has made a
solid decision to advance into this important and challenging market. And the company intends to achieve overall sales of more that one
billion euro in 2010. |
