ClimateWell, the owner of the Solar
Cooling concept, has signed an agreement with the Belgian company Transfolux
for the delivery of 30 units of ClimateWells CW10 new model, the first
worldwide to be able to efficiently store solar thermal energy for the
continuous delivery of cooling and heating. The agreement consists of the
delivery of 300 kW of solar cooling capacity to Transfolux, which in turn will
allow for cooling of some 6.000
m2 of building surface.
Transfolux, a company dedicated to the import and distribution of equipment for
the industrial sector and specializing in renewable energies, is through this agreement
the first ClimateWell solar cooling system distributor in Belgium. Per
Olofsson, CEO, ClimateWell, said: The contract that we have signed with
Transfolux gives us a first class partner for Belgium. He added: The present
situation is favorable to the implementation of sustainable equipment in new
buildings, as can be seen in the new European Energy Performance of Buildings
Directive (EPBD), which highlights the important added value our Solar Cooling
system can offer to the real estate european market.
Today, this system can be successfully used in
single-family houses, low community buildings and offices, reveals the
companys press release. Furthermore, it can be used as a support system to
reduce energy consumption in shopping centres, hospitals, etc. In January 2008 a ClimateWell project
was chosen by WISIONS, an initiative of the Wuppertal Institute for Climate,
Environment and Energy, as sustainable energy good practice.
