Embraco VCC compressor
Variable Capacity Compressor was chosen as one of the 10 biggest Brazilian
innovations of the last decade by a research of Exame/Monitor magazine. The
study, the largest ever carried out on innovation in the country, included more
than 220 projects. Embraco VCC was chosen because it can decrease in up to 40% the
energy consumption of refrigerators and freezers.
This solution took 12 years to develop. It is the result of the
combined skills of major company and university experts, explained Roberto H.
Campos, Corporate Manager, Technology, Embraco, to Diário Catarinense, a local
newspaper. An average of 300,000 units is exported every year all over the

state-of-the art technology of its products and by offering innovative
solutions in refrigeration. With 682 patents
