GEA Air Treatment presents new 4-line version of TriStyle fan-coil unit PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 15 April 2008

GEA Air Treatment Division presents the new 4-line version of its TriStyle fan-coil unit, making it more versatile. The cabinet unit cools and heats the room and combines 3 special characteristics: it is the most slender fan-coil unit on the market; its design is modern and sophisticated; and it can heat completely without sound with an optional flat radiator.

geaThe new 4-line model offers the user the possibility of spontaneously switching from heating to cooling operations, or vice-versa. The GEA TriStyle fan-coil unit requires very little space, with its depth of 128 mm, height of 655 mm with radiator, and height of 595 mm without radiator (without feet). This model series, with and without radiator, achieves cooling capacity of 0.34 to 3.70 kW (at 7°C feed and 12°C outlet temperatures). The tangential fan (crossflow fan), as well as air guide vanes and sound-muffling matting, assure very low sound emission. In its heating mode of operation, the GEA TriStyle fan-coil with radiator functions without any noise at all. Its fan can be switched on during heating to bring a room up to desired temperature especially fast. The unit achieves heating output of up to 7.6 kW (at 70°C feed and 50°C outlet temperatures).

The GEA TriStyle fan-coil unit is mounted on the wall as standard installation solution, with the installation rails normally delivered. However, it can also be installed on the floor with feet supplied as accessories. With the aid of an accessory kit, free installation in the room, away from the wall, is also possible. In addition, the slender form of the unit also enables space-saving installation of a nonenclosed unit between a suspended ceiling and the floor slab above, or in a parapet wall. Since recently, furthermore, all models of the GEA TriStyle fan-coil unit have now been available with the GEA MATRIX 500, 2000, or 3000 control systems. According to the company’s press release, in addition to temperature-dependent control of the fan and thermostat valves, GEA MATRIX enables interconnection of several units in one zone, or integration of such units into an overall control system.
