ColdKit, one of the leading European manufacturers of modular cold rooms, industrial panels and insulating doors, acquired Friemo SA, one of the most important manufacturers of hotel equipment of Portugal. With this acquisition, ColdKit completes its range of industrial kitchens equipment and enters in new sectors, such as pastry shops, bakeries, fish markets and others.

According to the company’s press release, the purchase of Friemo is part of the growth strategy and international expansion of ColdKit that continues investing in modern and competitive products. According to Luís Borges, Managing Director of ColdKit “this is an investment that provides us a complementary product range, especially internationalization-oriented, and it also allows us to accede to a technology that will encourage new developments. We will take advantage of the crisis to invest in I+D+i”.

With the incorporation of Friemo’s new products, ColdKit becomes an integral supplier of machinery and industrial kitchens equipment for diverse sectors, such as hotels, restaurants, cafeterias, hospitals, elderly housing units, collectivities, etc.
