Haier offers Amana air conditioning products with green designs |

Haier
America offers dealers a product portfolio that includes over a dozen Amana
Energy Star® air conditioner models and four new Energy Star dehumidifiers that
feature “green” eco-friendly R-410A refrigerant, which is proven to have zero
impact [non-ozone depleting] on the environment.
 The air conditioning portfolio of Amana®, a registered trademark of Maytag
Corporation and used under license to Haier America, NY, has sixteen models
that feature an exclusive UV-Air Purifier technology that blends the benefits
of a high performance air conditioner with the power of a powerful air
purifier.
According to the press release, the Amana
brand leading edge UV-Air Purifier air conditioners simultaneously enhance
homeowners’ comfort by cooling and purifying the air, without using additional
energy. In addition, Amana room air conditioning UV models eliminate pollen,
mold, mildew, bacteria and other organic materials within consumers’ homes.
