Heatcraft expands facility to enhance production and add local jobs PDF Print E-mail

Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, a division of Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration, that manufacturesheatcraft premier commercial refrigeration products, has announced the opening of an additional manufacturing plant next to its current location in Tifton, Georgia. The new plant significantly expands the production capabilities of the company’s Tifton facility, adding 310,000 square feet of manufacturing and 8,000 square feet of office space, opening an additional 200 jobs, increasing the total number of Heatcraft Refrigeration employees in Tifton to almost 500.

 

“Being a good corporate citizen means being a good steward of our environment. Conservation and sustainable building are important principles throughout the Lennox International family, and we’re proud of how responsibly this expansion has been carried out,” said Mike Vincent, Heatcraft Refrigeration’s Vice President.

 

The new plant includes state-of-the-art automation and robotic technology, as well as a component testing laboratory and environmental considerations were a key part of the expansion planning, with recycled components used in the roofing and storm drainage piping. In addition, employees can also now move from building to building using bicycles, a move aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
