Rivacold UK Ltd has appointed Peter Woods as technical manager to develop the application of carbon dioxide-based refrigeration solutions in the UK market.

Peter has substantial experience in the refrigeration field, with previous service with well-known companies such as Searle, Russell and Alfa Laval.

“There is a clear trend in the market towards use of carbon dioxide systems in the UK,” he says. “End users are in many ways pioneering with the development of carbon dioxide systems, in various formats and combinations.”

He added: “However, it is still a fairly new and specialist technology in our industry, and there is a lot to learn in terms of getting the best out of CO2 systems. I will be assisting our customers to harness the excellent Rivacold CO2 technology that is already proven and available.”
