Steril-Aire UVC Emitters protect historic Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 07 April 2010

Steril-AireSteril-Aire, Inc., the leading worldwide manufacturer of germicidal ultraviolet C (UVC) devices for indoor air quality, in association with their Italian distributor, IMACO International Mfg. Corp. and the Biblioteca Ambrosiana (Ambrosiana Library), both of Milan, Italy, have jointly announced the installation of Steril-Aire UVC Emitters™ at the library to protect an historic exhibit of the Atlantic Codex drawings by Leonardo da Vinci.

"After extensive research, we determined that Steril-Aire UVC technology offers the best option for preserving these 500-year-old documents against the potential ravages of mold and bacteria that travel through building air handling systems," reports Giorgio Ricchebuono, president of the Cardinal Federico Borromeo Foundation, whose aim is to help the Ambrosiana Library to present and preserve its priceless cultural treasures.  He notes: "The UVC devices provide a constant germicidal cleansing action to keep building air clean and free of harmful microbes."
