The Air Movement and
Control Association International, Inc. (AMCA), and Singapore based AFMA
Technologies PTE LTD. (AFMA) enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for
a collaborative venture, where AFMA will act as AMCAs agent in Singapore
administering AMCAs Certified Ratings Program located in Singapore.
The MOU agreement will be signed by AMCA Executive Director, Barbara
Morrison, and AFMA General Manager, Goh Swee Lee, on September 5, 2007 at AMCA
headquarters, reveals the associations press release. Following the
signing, the AFMA delegation will receive extensive training on the operation
of the AMCA Laboratory and Certified Ratings Program (CRP). AFMA, like MPI (Korea
Machinery-Meter and Petrochemical Testing and Research Institute) and CRAA QCC
(Beijing CRAA Quality Certification Center Co.), will be acting as AMCAs
authorized agent, guiding licensees through the certification process,
including the collection of documentation from the licensee. AMCA will grant the license to use the CRP Seal.
Barbara Morrison says: Many benefits will be derived by all parties: companies
requiring access to a Certified Ratings Program will need to be licensed by
only one organization for a reasonable fee; AMCA will provide immediate
worldwide brand recognition to Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern and Indian
products, including a well established successful international Certified
Ratings Program with a deep knowledge of fan and other air system component
testing and rating; AFMA will aid with the expansion of the AMCA Certified
Ratings Program by reducing language barrier issues and rendering their vast
knowledge of the Asian, Middle Eastern, and Indian culture and HVACR industry.
