The Board of Directors of Belimo Holding AG,
a leading global manufacturer of innovative electrical actuator solutions in
heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, has appointed Dr Jacques
Sanche (a 42-year-old with Swiss and Canadian nationality) as the new Chief
Executive Officer of the Belimo Group. He will take up his new post on September 1, 2007.
Jacques Sanche is currently
Deputy CEO of WMH Walter Meier Holding AG, with responsibility for the Climate
Solutions Division. He has held a variety of general management positions
within this group and gathered valuable experience in the heating, ventilation
and air conditioning sector. He had previously completed a doctorate at the
Institute for Information Management of the University of St. Gallen and worked
as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in Munich.
According to the companys press release, Belimo was able to continue
its increased growth and has recorded healthy growth rates in sales, operating
income and net income. The Board of
Directors assumes that European markets will continue to grow, particularly
Germany, Russia and Ukraine. It also expects continued high growth in
the Asia/Pacific region. In the Americas, in contrast, growth could slow down
slightly. There was an increase in the sales of products for air applications, room
comfort systems are very popular in Europe and even faster growth was achieved
with valves and valve actuators.
