Bitzer UK has recently invested
in its production facilities at the companys Milton
Keynes headquarters. These significant investments have been
designed to improve production of LH condensing units, dressed for the UK market, and
refrigeration racks that are built for other Bitzer Group subsidiaries, reveals
the companys press release.
The 2000
square metre production and warehousing facility has
been redesigned so that over 30% of it is now dedicated to manufacturing.
Additional LH condensing unit and supermarket rack production cells have been
created together with a completely new production line layout, designed to
improve process flows from goods inward to final despatch. Significant capital
investments have also been made including new state-of-the-art pipe bending
machinery, fume extraction equipment, task lighting, test booths and materials
handling equipment. Additional
production line personnel have also been recruited.
Operations Manager at Bitzer UK,
Mark Sowden, comments: "Demand for our condensing units in the UK together
with increased sales within the Bitzer Group of refrigeration racks, has
underpinned our investments. This site, together with our operation in Grays,
now gives us capacity to meet customer demand for the foreseeable future". |
