ISDE, a pioneering company that manufactures and
commissions domotic systems, has continuously been improving its Hotelon
solution over the years. This is the perfect tool for hotel management and it integrates
LonWorks protocol. Comunidad de Madrid has recently recognized its importance
by including ISDEs system in its hotel energy efficiency guide under the
Madrid Welcomes Visitors by Saving Energy campaign, aiming at reducing the
huge energy consumption rates of the sector.
Hotelon gives hotel managers data on the performance of the building and its
results will be an important decision-making tool for both the maintenance department
and management. Installing ISDEs integrated air conditioning control can help
save 20% to 30% in energy consumption, which means hotel owners can recover their
investment in two-three years. This is possible due to the installation of one
probe and thermostat by room, although in the end it is possible to control the
air-conditioning system from the front desk. It is estimated that for every
limited thermal grade one can save up to 7% in energy. According to Construnario.com,
facilities using ISDEs control system can fulfill Buildings Technical Code
energy saving requirements.
ISDE is now comparing the benefits of different control systems. "The
results have shown that by comparing room and day costs between hotels on the
one hand, and the costs of one room with different temperature restrictions on
the other, the energy consumption rates of a single room depend on two aspects:
hotel category and automation level. When comparing hotels in the same
category, automated ones save 20% to 40% in energy consumption", stated Javier
Bescós, Product Manager, ISDE. |
