global developer, manufacturer and seller of progressive cavity pumps located
in Ohio, has recently received the 2007 Global
Positive Displacement Rotary Pumps Technology Innovation of the Year Award from
Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting company headquartered in California. The
award was accepted by Michael L. Dillon, President of seepex Inc.
Dushyant Mehra, the Frost & Sullivan analyst responsible for
researching the rotary PD pump market, stated: The basis of the award is seepexs
superior product portfolio and customer-centric approach, coupled with a strong
commitment to innovation. Nearly 90 North American pump manufacturers were
analyzed in the Frost & Sullivan study. Pumps are second only to
electric motors as the most commonly used piece of industrial equipment and the
growth rate of the industry, as a whole, is estimated at 3.5% per year in
2006. seepex has been averaging a growth rate in excess of 15% per year
over the last ten years, with a diverse customer base serving a broad range of
industries.
It was cited by Frost & Sullivan for the particularly unique
products it sells to the oil & gas production market, food and beverage
manufacturers and pumps that are used for metering applications in water and
wastewater treatment plants, paper mills and power plants. According to
the companys press release, seepex also has taken a leadership position in the
use of variable speed controls and energy savings, introducing pumps with
higher operating efficiencies, energy savings software and pumps with
adjustable components that can optimize longevity and efficiency.
