Under Expo Zaragoza 2008s
main theme, Water and Sustainable Development, ClimateWell will be present all through
the exhibition to promote Solar Cooling, the first and only HVACR system in the
world that is able to store energy and supply both cold and heat powered by
solar thermal energy, with no need to use external energy sources.
The Spanish-Swedish company is one of the sponsors of the Swedish
Pavillion, which will be highlighted on September 3rd, Swedens Day, and will
be used to exhibit the advantages of this high efficiency HVACR system, as well
as its current and potential contribution for sustainable development. In this
way, ClimateWells Solar Cooling system is part of the Swedish Pavillions main
theme, which is present at Expo Zaragoza 2008 to demonstrate how it is possible
to create a growth which is both ecologically and economically viable. For ClimateWell CEO Per Olofsson this combination is
exactly what ClimateWells offer is all about. He said: We have managed to
develop solutions that are sustainable and at the same time profitable from day
one. For
Spain
in particular, the profitability of ClimateWells Solar Cooling solution is
increasing alongside the rising electricity prices. Per Olofosson also highlighted: ClimateWells
participation as a sponsor of the Swedish Pavillion answers our conviction that
urban sustainable development is not an expensive need, rather a cost effective
and environmentaly friendly alternative. There is no doubt that both
the exhibitions main theme and the interpretation and adaptation undertaken by
the Swedish pavillion answers this commitment.
Sweden has become one
of the leading nations in sustainable development, making green technology a
new economic sector on an international level. In fact, and according to the
rating prepared by the German organization Germanwatch, Sweden
is the country with the best results in the fight against climate change. Since
1999, the Swedish Foreign Trade Council and several Swedish companies have
worked together to consolidate this new industrial sector, defined as the
Swedish Green Technology Network. It includes water and wastewater treatment
stations, waste management and recycling, atmospheric contamination, renewable
energy and energy efficiency improvement. According to the companys press
release, ClimateWells Solar Cooling system replaces the conventional air
conditioning and heat products fed by non-renewable energy sources that are
used in these sectors, acting as a sustainable solution to provide comfort to
all kinds of buildings, which represent 30
to 40% of CO2 emissions each year. ClimateWell has also recently been nominated
for the SACC Deloitte Green Award, which
will be presented at The Royal Green Award Dinner, hosted by the
Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York on September 24th.
