RSES adds three more technical sessions to 2008 conference program PDF Print E-mail

RSES’ 71st Annual Conference, which will take place at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel on September 16th – 20th, 2008, will focus on education. The educational program of this conference themed “Education – Technicians Start Your Engines”, will feature several technical sessions.

 

Among the first presentations announced were “Efficient Testing for Efficient Systems,” by Russ Harju of Fieldpiece Instruments, “The “New Math” for Zoning Success,” by Joe C. Ramunni of Arzel Zoning Technology, and “Removing the Mystery from Thermostatic Expansion Valves,” by Dave Demma of Sporlan Division Parker Hannifin. Other presenters include Al Maier of Emerson Climate Technologies Flow Controls Division (“Electronic Valves and Controllers”), Greg Jourdan, professor at Wenatchee Valley College, in cooperation with Fluke (“Troubleshooting HVACR Systems with Infrared Thermometers and Thermography Test Tools”), Dave Madden of JB Industries (“Vacuum: How it Relates to Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Service”), and Thomas J. Kelly of Carrier (“Green Buildings and the HVAC Trades”).

 

The three new technical sessions include “Thermostatic Expansion Valve Application Considerations and Head Pressure Control in Cold Climates,” led by Mike Ellis and Hugh McGowan of Source Refrigeration & HVAC, “Air and Surface Sanitation in Refrigerated Environments,” led by Rolf Blom of Hussmann Corp., and “Times are Changing – Have Your Service Techniques Kept Pace?” led Robert P. Scaringe of Mainstream Engineering Corp., reveals the entity’s press release.
