waterloo expands portfolio chilled beams diffuser online storeWaterloo Air Products, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of air distribution systems, is expanding its portfolio with the launch of several new products including active chilled beams (ABMs) and a high induction barrel slot diffuser (CSB), and is going live with an on-line store to enable customers to order direct.

Waterloo’s chilled beam range is designed to not only integrate into all ceiling systems, but meet the demands for additional services to be provided without compromising space or performance. Waterloo has extended the range to offer surface mounted units that can incorporate luminaires, sprinkler systems, public address systems, room sensors and cable trays. The CSB barrel slot diffuser is a high induction linear diffuser and has been designed to offer adjustable air distribution over much shorter runs, making it attractive for a wide range of applications. As for the on-line store, it has already been successfully trialled and enables customers to by-pass the quotation route, select products and order direct. Waterloo already has an extensive range of products in store and will be adding many more over the coming months.

According to the company’s press release, it is also the first company in the UK to meet the rigorous European standard for the testing and rating of its active chilled beams. Tests on Waterloo’s chilled beams were carried out at the BSRIA labs to ensure they conformed to the new European standard (PR) EN 15116 on chilled beam testing. As well as ensuring a new standard in performance data accuracy, the test process also highlighted areas for increasing chilled beam performance in future product developments from Waterloo. “Chilled beams are a growing market in the UK and Europe, and with this in mind we will continue to emphasise the importance of continuous product improvement and invest in R&D,” says John Osmant, Waterloo’s Group Managing Director.
