Carel recently announced the introduction of ChillBooster, a new product to enrich its wide range of solutions for the HVAC/R market. Installed in the near of the condensers, ChillBooster is an adiabatic air cooling system for use on chillers and drycoolers and for all air-conditioning and refrigeration applications.
According to the companys press release, ChillBooster atomises water into very fine droplets that evaporate spontaneously, cooling the air. The coil is thus cooled by a flow of colder air and droplets of water, allowing more favourable operating conditions; even in summer, the cooling air has spring temperatures. In addition, the droplets that evaporate from the surface of the fins actively contribute to the cooling process, increasing the booster effect.
According to Carel, the ChillBooster has reduced energy consumption, since the system to drycoolers of 200.000 m3/h of air capacity atomizes 1,000 l/h with energy consumption inferior to 0.7 KW. In addition, the new system for refrigeration and air conditioning applications is also ideal for cooling reforms, drycoolers and liquid coolers. |
