Organized by the Air Infiltration and Ventilation Center (AIVC), the 30th AIVC conference Trends in high performance buildings and the role of Ventilation and 4th International Symposium on Building and Ductwork Air Tightness (BUILDAIR), will be held at the Best Western Hotel Steglitz International in Berlin, Germany on Thursday and Friday, the 1 - 2 October 2009. The combined conferences aim to focus, present and discuss interesting developments and results regarding ventilation in buildings.
According to the events press release, approximately 300 competent conference participants from Germany and from all over the world and also specialized visitors from the region are expected at the conferences, such as architects, civil engineers, building experts, clients and investors, building contractors, decision-makers, project developers and controllers, energy consultants, producers, colleges and institutes for education and qualification.
For each conference a specific theme is selected and at this occasion, there are two themes, Building and ductwork airtightness from theory to large scale application and Energy efficient ventilation and other innovations for high performance buildings. Issues of concern include the overall energy performance of high performance buildings, and specific ventilation issues such as heat recovery, demand controlled ventilation, building airtightness, night ventilation, among others. |
