thermal state of two
adjacent substances that determines their ability to exchange heat. Substances
in contact that do not exchange heat are at the same temperature. Temperatures
are indicated on defined scales, such as kelvin and Rankine for absolute
temperatures, and Celsius and Fahrenheit for ordinary temperatures |
