carrier frequency

1. in a periodic carrier, the reciprocal of its period. Note: The frequency of a periodic pulse carrier often is called the pulse repetition frequency in a signal transmis­sion system.

2. (modulated amplifie­r) the frequency that is used to modulate the input signal for amplification.
