wall area (gross)

 

for exterior walls enclosing a heated or cooled space as measured on the exterior, the opaque wall including between floor spandrels, peripheral edges of flooring, and window areas including sash and door areas, but excluding vents, grilles, and pipes.

wall plate cover attached to an outlet box, or directly to the wall to which a thermostat is attached. It may contain terminals to which circuit wiring is attached
