(AMCA International) reaffirmed AMCA Publication 502-06 (R2009) “Damper Application Manual for Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning.”  Publication 502 was reaffirmed by the AMCA Membership September 11, 2009. Publication 502-06 (R2009) provides general information and important points to be considered when designing or specifying heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) installations requiring dampers in specific temperatures and pressures. This publication serves as a guide to understanding the various types of dampers available and items to be considered for their proper use.
