Carel Suzhou receives ISO9001:2000 certification |

 SGS, one of the world’s leading certification organisations, has issued ISO 9001:2000 certifications for Carel Electronic (Suzhou) Co Ltd. This official recognition certifies that the processes at the company's Chinese facilities comply with the ISO procedures for the production of Carel products. The company’s facilities cover a surface area of over four thousand square metres and are located in Suzhou (around 100 km from Shanghai), refers Carel's press release.
The Suzhou manufacturing plant deals with the production of electronic solutions for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration sectors, and was opened to respond to the growing requirements of the Chinese market, as well as to provide continuity of service to western companies that are already Carel partners and that have manufacturing sites in China.
The procedures and processes adopted in China, and above all the underlying principles, are the same used across the Carel Group.
The Suzhou facilities feature high-tech systems such as automatic assembly systems for PTH components (traditional), automatic assembly systems for surface mount components (SMD - Surface
Mounting Device) and automatic soldering equipment. Throughout the production process, all the products undergo strict tests using automatic functional and in-circuit test systems, checking 100% of the components fitted. Quality of the processes is guaranteed by the in-house Quality Assurance department, which works in close contact with the Carel Group Quality Assurance area.
The products made at Carel Electronic (Suzhou) are compliant with the RoHS standards, which prohibit the use of hazardous substances such as cadmium and lead in the member states of the European Union. |
