SWEP International is introducing a Trainee Program to address the global skills shortage. As the booming global economy increases competition for skilled employees, SWEP is introducing a new Trainee Program that starts this fall, informs the company's press release. “Although the program is centered on our Landskrona headquarters, the trainees could be from anywhere in the world,” says Lotta Holmqvist, HR Development Manager at SWEP. During the program, trainees will spend time in every department at SWEP. “Trainees will get to know our product – compact brazed heat exchangers – in addition to our people, systems and procedures,” says Lotta. The year-long program includes a wide range of work experience across all of SWEP’s departments as well as regular, more formal, training. Each trainee will also be assigned a mentor who will be a source of support and advice throughout the program. “We hope trainees will leave the program as fully rounded permanent employees. They will have the skills and flexibility we need if SWEP is to succeed with its planned expansion, of course. But they will also have gained a strong sense of SWEP’s culture and business ethic to take with them into their permanent jobs, which could be based in any of our worldwide businesses,” concludes Lotta. |
