SWEP’s two new compact brazed heat exchangers (CBEs) are the natural choices for applications such as flexible chillers, industrial heat pumps and modular compact reversible chillers.
According to the company's press release, the highly efficient DB500 (condenser) and DS500 (evaporator) exploit SWEP’s patented True Dual technology, which enables them to deliver full performance at both full and half load. The DS500 is the world’s largest heat exchanger of its kind, with a capacity of more than 500 kW (150 Rt) plus a very favorable footprint and kilowatt/weight ratio. Optimized for the refrigerant R134a, it represents a major advance for applications using this environmentally preferred refrigerant, which is becoming increasingly popular because it helps minimize global warming and ozone depletion.
