Water can be one of
the biggest problems in air conditioner or fan coil systems. Although we may
have plenty of it falling from the sky, let one drop of it get through a ceiling
from a fan coil system and you can be in trouble, said Gerry Hooper, technical
director of EDC International,
speaking about condensate pumps at a FETA Fan Coil Group meeting. According to
the companys press release, although they had a vitally important function he
felt that condensate pumps were vastly underrated in fan coil and ac systems.
Too many installers, said Mr Hooper, regard a condensate pump as just
another component to go wrong. How wrong
they are. In a properly installed
system, pumped condensate discharge can in fact solve many problems. |
