Comap, a leading European player in fittings and regulation
devices for domestic fluids for the building trade, announced the acquisition
project of the Sanitary and Heating division of the company Alphacan, a
subsidiary of the French group Arkema. Comap, a member of the Dutch group
Aalberts Industries, is in discussion to acquire the Sanitary and Heating
division of Alphacan, a subsidiary of the French group Arkema. This activity should be integrated to Comap Plastic
Industries.
The
Sanitary and Heating Division of Alphacan fits perfectly within Comaps
strategy which is to offer its French customers with system solutions in the
fields of centralised heating distribution and underfloor heating, and to
develop its specification activity. In
addition, this acquisition provides Comap with the opportunity to develop its
industrial know-how by integrating the design and manufacture cross-linked
polyethylene pipes (PEX). The acquisition should be consolidated in the first
quarter of 2009 after consultation with the employees representatives of the
related companies, reveals the companys press release.
