GEA do Brazil,
a subsidiary of GEA
Group, has recently received two major orders for air coolers. The overall order volume is about 15 million EUR.
The first project with the Consórcio Conpar comprises 20 air cooler units for
the expansion of the PETROBRAS REPAR refinery in Paraná, Brazil. The second
project with the Consórcio Alusa-Galvão-Tomé contains 10 air cooler units for
the gasoline process of the PETROBRAS RLAM refinery in Bahia, Brazil. GEA has been the
preferred air cooler supplier in Brazil for many years with a strong
market position. These orders are
consolidating this leadership.
The
Thermal Engineering Division of GEA Group has also received an order to supply
air coolers for a refinery project in India. The order volume is approximately
EUR 10 million. The division has recently received similar orders from the oil
and gas industry in southern Africa as well with a value amounting to a double-digit
figure in millions of Euros. The GEA Group expects high growth rates in both
regions. As opposed to last year, which was characterized by a large order for
the Medupi power plant in South Africa amounting to several hundreds of
millions of Euros, this fiscal year reflects a significant increase in smaller
high-margin orders. In particular, these orders
relate to services and cooling systems for industrial applications, as well as
biomass power plants and solar-thermal power plants, reveals the companys
press release.
