DuPont Fluoroproducts, a science-based products and services company and a leading global supplier of refrigerants, announced a 10 percent global price increase for its bulk R-134a refrigerant, effective with shipments on or after December 1st, 2009, as contracts allow. Increasing raw material costs necessitated the price increase.

According to DuPont’s press release, the increase applies to all 134a bulk product sold in applications including automotive air conditioning, stationary air conditioning, stationary refrigeration and foam expansion.
