Kathabar Dehumidification Systems recently announced Twin-Cel, a liquid desiccant building energy recovery system that uses energy previously lost to the environment. The device transfers temperature and moisture between the airstreams, allowing for greater energy savings than the recovery of sensible heat only.

According to Kathabar, the eco-friendly Twin-Cel system improves indoor air quality while using less energy. This will lower annual energy costs and reduce heating/cooling and humidification/dehumidification energy use. Utilizing this green system, which uses a nontoxic liquid desiccant, can result in lower carbon footprint and reduced greenhouse gas emissions for greater protection of the environment.
