Leading refrigerated transport specialist Thermo King, part of the Ingersoll Rand Climate Solutions Sector, has picked up a John Connell Technology Award from the Noise Abatement Society in the UK, for its market-leading SLX low-noise unit, the industrys first front wall mounted conventional diesel refrigeration unit that is PIEK compliant. This is the second year that Thermo King has won this award for its innovative product solutions, since last year the recently launched CryoTech ST-CR unit received this acclaim for its low noise operation.
This is an outstanding achievement for Thermo King as it highlights the companys ongoing commitment to delivering innovative and environmentally sound product solutions. It also reaffirms our position as industry leaders within the transport refrigeration sector and it is a testament to the products developed by the Thermo King team that we have received this prestigious award, said Johan Van Maercke, Vice President of Transport Solutions and Strategic Development, at the annual John Connell Ceremony in the House of Commons in London on Wednesday 4th November 2009.
The SLX provides end-users with the ideal temperature control solution for an environmentally-responsible and cost-sensitive operation. Thermo King set a great example to manufacturers with their commitment to lower noise pollution, added Gloria Elliot, Chief Executive of the Noise Abatement Society. |
