GE and its strategic partners have announced that they made a total investment of $55 million to recognize the work that in 2010 outstanding leading technology companies have performed. These awards are included in the program of $200 million for innovative companies in GE ecomagination Challenge awards.

ClimateWell, specialized in air conditioning under solar cooling technology through solar energy, has been one of those companies recognized with a donation of $100,000 for its entrepreneurship and the development of a unique innovative technology. GE and ClimateWell are now working together on the deployment of solar cooling technology in new markets.
According to the CEO of ClimateWell, Per Olofsson, "our technology can help reduce total global consumption of energy and CO2 emissions by over 10%. But our product is a solution and can not be downloaded by users because projects require planning, investment, installation and maintenance takes time and resources. For this reason, our partnership with GE is so important because it is a global company with a similar strategy in both the product portfolio and the services networking".
