ahr expoMore than 47,000 HVAC&R professionals filled the aisles and booths at the 59th AHR Expo in Dallas, January 29-31 as the world's largest HVAC&R event set a new record, informs a press release from the event's organisation.
According to Show Management, the 2007 AHR Expo had exhibitors from 32 countries, which combined for 1,789 exhibitors (over 300 international and 172 new exhibitors) taking up 354,057 net square feet of exhibit space. The 2007 AHR Expo was the largest show ever in the Southwest in total attendance with more than 47,000 total attendees (over 28,000+ visitors and 19,000 exhibitor personnel). Included in the 28,000+ visitors is an impressive 5,270 international visitors.

"We are delighted with this year's record-breaking event as it reflects the growth of various industry segments within the AHR Expo and our ongoing efforts to add several enhancements," said Clay Stevens, President of IEC, the Show producer and organizer. "AHR Expo is the only HVAC&R-exclusive event in the world that offers industry professionals such an extensive overview of all segments of the marketplace."

Several exhibitors echoed Stevens' sentiments during the three-day show. In interviews on Monday Denise Ernst, Director of Commercial Product Management, Lennox International, explained: "It's been very, very busy and I'm thrilled. We're winning two Innovation Awards, the Indoor Air Quality for the Humiditrol Dehumidification System and the Building Automation and Control for the Comfort Sensor Zone and those awards do a lot to create interest. The primary objective is contact with the engineering community and this show is crucial to reaching them but the opportunity to meet with contractors and suppliers is needed."

From another exhibitor: "The opportunity to talk to all our different customers is the reason we exhibit and the attendance is exceptional. The contractors, OEMs, wholesalers are all great, even HVAC students stopping into the booth is nice as they are the buyers of tomorrow and this all helps the industry," stated Craig Raney, Director of Marketing, Emerson Climate Technologies.
"We introduce new products like our Think Tank 3.0 at AHR Expo because of the broad array of attendees and the variety of press coverage. No other show in this industry touches the masses like AHR Expo," said Paul Selking, Leader Residential HVAC, GE ECM/Regal-Beloit.
