Hubbard grows green for RAC 2007 PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 14 February 2007
Hubbard Commercial, one of the UK’s leading designers, manufacturers and suppliers of refrigeration and cooling systems, will be announcing additions to its energy efficient ranges at RAC 2007, which will take place in Birmingham from 27th February to 1st March.
Hubbard Commercial has invested significantly in reducing the environmental impact of its products since 2000 and it is now one of the major suppliers of Carbon Trust, Energy Technology Product listed, Cellar Cooling Equipment. As the first manufacturer and supplier to deliver fully qualifying equipment in 2005, Hubbard is now investing further in its reputation as a cost effective and reliable partner for the UK’s Hospitality & Catering, Food & Drink, Convenience Retailing and Food Refrigeration and Processing sectors.

hubbardRAC 2007 will see the completion of ETP qualification for the remaining models of the Hubbard Premium Cellar Cooling R407c range.  These new qualifications will ensure that from the second quarter of 2007 onwards all purchasers of Premium R407c systems will be able to claim full capital allowances for purchase and installation costs against their qualifying year tax assessment.
With a choice of 13 models the Premium range caters for a wide range of cellar configurations from 10 m3 to 210 m3, each of which offers high energy efficiency with lower running costs and reduced noise levels for environmental awareness.

Servicing and maintenance costs are also proving highly cost effective for Premium range specifiers with an overall simplicity of design combined with top quality components offering exceptional long-term value for money.  Further enhancing the popularity of the Premium R407c is the flexibility the range offers with both cooling and heating as standard. To qualify for ETP Listing, all Premium R407c systems have a cooling capacity of between 2 kW and 12 kW at the standard rating conditions for ambient air temperature of 32°C (also available for 38°C ambient) and a cellar air temperature of 10°C. They are all factory assembled units to ETP requirements that are designed to be connected on installation and all conform with the requirements of EU Pressure Equipment Directive PED 97/23/EC.

Supporting the listing of Premium R407c systems will be the introduction of a new range of Low Noise HCR brewery systems. The system has been created to overcome the problem of noise sensitive installations, as the only part of the system installed outside the building is the remote, low-noise air-cooled condenser. The new three-piece systems consisting of cellar evaporator unit, internal scroll compressor receiver and the external/remote condenser utilising R407c refrigerant offers a more compact overall package with improved performance. The new system also features Digital Temperature Control mirroring the Premium range. The Low Noise HCR system has a reduced acoustic footprint of just 32 dBa.
