ishOver 2,300 exhibitors will present their latest products and innovations on 250,000 square metres of exhibition space at ISH, The World’s Leading Trade Fair for the Bathroom, Building, Energy, Air Conditioning Technology and Renewable Energies, in Frankfurt am Main from 6 to 10 March 2007. Rounding off the trade fair is an extensive fringe programme with special shows, symposiums and competitions, which are of equal benefit to both visitors and exhibitors, refers a press release from the event's organisation.
ISH will once again present water at its most attractive. The days of cold and cool wet cells are over. Today, expectations are increasing in terms of design and convenience. Organised by the Association of the German Sanitation Industry (Vereinigung der Deutschen Sanitärwirtschaft e.V. – VDS), the Water Lounge (Hall 3.1) is the ideal meeting place for exchanges of opinion and in-depth discussions between experts from the sector. At the BSW Forum, the German Swimming Pool and Wellness Association (Bundesverband Schwimmbad & Wellness e.V. – BSW) will inform visitors about the latest trends and developments in the sector (Hall 1.1).

The ISH Technology and Energy Forum entitled 'Energy Efficient Systems and Renewable Energies' in Galleria 1 (north) offers comprehensive information relating to the main theme of ISH 2007. The programme includes expert lectures and demonstrations on 'Energy efficiency through the combination of energy-efficient systems and renewable energies', 'Fossil and renewable fuels', 'Ventilation', 'Comfort' and 'Heat transfer'. The Forum is being organised by the Association of the German House, Energy and Environmental Technology Industry (Bundesindustrieverband Deutschland Haus-, Energie- und Umwelttechnik e.V. – BDH) in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt.

The Outlook – Energy and Architecture special show (Hall 4.0, Saal Europa) illuminates the increasing interdependence of architecture and energy technology and building-services engineering. Messe Frankfurt is organising the special show in cooperation with the Association of the German Central Heating Industry (Vereinigung der deutschen Zentralheizungs-Wirtschaft e.V. - VdZ), the Building Climate Institute (Fachinstitut Gebäude Klima e.V. - FGK), the Federation of German Architects (Bund Deutscher Architekten - BDA)  and the German Sanitation, Heating and Air Conditioning Association (Zentralverband Sanitär, Heizung, Klima - ZVSHK).

The integration of tiled stoves and fireplaces in the heating systems of houses is one way of increasing living comfort and, at the same time, cutting heating costs. Visitors will find information about the most recent developments and design trends in the German tiled-stove industry at the Tiled Stove Worlds (Treffpunkt Kachelofenwelten) special show in Hall 9.2. Topics of current interest to the sector will be discussed at the Lecture Forum. The chimney-sweep trade will also be taking part with an information stand. The special show is being organised by the German Tiled Stove Working Group (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der deutschen Kachelofenwirtschaft - AdK) and Messe Frankfurt.
