Apuro will show its ACIS ranges of mains water POU and bottled water coolers at Avex 2007 (24-26 April, London, UK), including the all-new 800 Series of Direct Chill units, which offers a continuous supply of chilled, filtered mains water. ACIS models combine sturdy construction with style, offering a reliable supply of chilled and heated water, either from bottles or, in the case of the POU (point of use) units, filtered mains water, affirms the company in a press release.
The supply of chilled water in standard coolers is limited by the tank size. The ACIS Direct Chill units break new ground in offering a continuous supply of chilled drinking water – as the name suggests, they use a refrigerated coil to chill incoming water directly instead of chilling water held in a reservoir tank.
The 800 Series features two floor-standing Direct Chill units: the 810C dispenses chilled and ambient water while the 810D, to be launched later in 2007, will offer a choice of chilled and hot water. Apuro believes the new Direct Chill units will be popular wherever there are peaks in demand for chilled water, such as in colleges or schools, when a traditional tank system won’t cope with the rush between classes.
The temperature of the chilled water depends on the temperature of the mains water. In normal circumstances the ACIS system dispenses water at around 4 degrees C.
Standard features include large push-button dispense controls, an integral ‘pop-up’ cup dispenser, integral carrying handle for easy moving and an efficient control system that keeps hot water at a steady 85 degrees C. |
