The full range of Hoshizaki’s compact counter fridges and freezers are now available with drawers, reports the company's press release. Depending on storage requirements, the ideal configuration of doors and drawers can be supplied. Either 2 deep drawers or 3 shallow drawers can replace a door allowing users to specify exactly what they want from the original 2 or 3 door models.
The advantages of drawers are manifold. - Less warm air enters when they are opened. - Fragile items can be stored safely. - Bulky, bagged items can be stored more effectively. - Risk of breakages reduced for ‘hard to reach’ items. - Visibility is improved – especially for small items. - More items can be stored. - Danger of cross contamination reduced. - Drawers can be sub-sectioned. - Access is more comfortable for staff.
The fridges and freezers are constructed entirely from solid stainless steel with 304 grade stainless steel interiors, promising long term durability and efficiency. Because temperatures are adjustable between +12°C and -6°C on the fridges and -7°C and -25°C on the freezers, a single unit can be used for different types of storage as requirements change or seasonal changes dictate menu variations.
The fridges and freezers are exceptionally efficient on maintenance and energy usage as they all feature a front loaded, cleanable air filter – a concept pioneered by Hoshizaki. Regular cleaning of the air filters removes a phenomenal 90% of all airborne debris, grease and bacteria, ensuring that the units work at maximum efficiency using the minimum amount of energy. Without this facility, a fridge or freezer would normally start to show signs of fatigue after just 3 months causing the compressor to work harder thus shortening the lifespan of the machine and using a lot of unnecessary energy to maintain temperature. |
