RSES Fox Valley Chapter to host seminar on R-410A and 13 SEER PDF Print E-mail

rsesThe RSES Fox Valley Chapter will host a seminar on April 7, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Elgin Community College Business Conference Center in Elgin, Illinois (USA). The seminar titled “R-410A and 13 SEER – The Future is Here” will be led by Nick Reggi, CMS.
According to RSES' press release, Reggi will cover the subject of R-410A and discuss topics including: the facts regarding refrigerants; possible R-22 alternatives; the concern over lubricant requirements; the components that are considered to be “unique”; the importance of cylinder safety; the basics of charging techniques; the use of PH analysis to compare systems; and basic troubleshooting techniques.  In addition, he will explore the 13 SEER standard and focus on topics such as: what the mandate says; what the mandate means to the industry; the equipment requirements; and what it means to the technician.

Reggi is the program coordinator of the HVACR and energy management programs at Humber College in Toronto.  Having spent seven years with Carrier Canada in the manufacturing and service divisions, plus 20 years as a full-time professor with Humber College, he has obtained numerous certifications over the years and continues to be active in the industry as he delivers seminars for Carrier Canada, Totaline, National Environmental Balancing Bureau Canada, Technology Standards and Safety Authority, Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute, RSES Canada and RSES International.  Reggi remains actively involved in RSES as a member of the RSES Educational & Examining Board, RSES Canada, and the RSES Ontario Maple Leaf Chapter and is the RSES Region 17 Director.
