Solar water heating among 2007 "Top 10" technologies |

 Solar water heating is among the Top 10 technologies builders can utilize to make better use of resources, and improve the durability and strength of the home, as chosen by the Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban development. The 2007 list was announced at the International Builders' Show earlier this month, reports Taco's website.
These technologies, "hold the most promise for improving the quality of our homes," said Darlene Williams, assistant secretary of HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research. "They are ready now and they can perform in the houses that we build tomorrow."
Technologies profiled by PATH are selected for their strengths in one or more of the following areas: quality and durability, affordability, energy efficiency, environmental performance, safety and disaster mitigation, according to the organization. |
