U.S. combined unitary shipments lower in 2006 |

 Combined U.S. factory shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps for December totaled 393,665, down 33 percent compared with shipments from the same month last year, according to ARI. Heat pump shipments for December totaled 133,813, down 18.5 percent compared with the same month last year.
U.S. factory shipments of unitary air conditioners and heat pumps during December 2006:
- totaled 393,665;
- down 33% from December 2005;
- year-to-date total 7,069,296;
- down 18% from Jan. – Dec. 2005.
Heat Pump shipments included in the December 2006 figures:
- totaled 133,813;
- down 18.5% from December 2005;
- year-to-date total 2,118,469;
- down 1% from Jan. – Dec. 2005. |
