Belimo, a worldwide leader for actuator and valve technology in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, recently presented its new fast-running actuators of the Q series, which turn, push and pull HVAC control elements quickly and precisely into any desired position. Thus, they contribute to higher comfort and a better working atmosphere.

Whether in heating and cooling circuits, in ventilation, extraction or VAV systems – the new fast- running actuators from Belimo open and close air dampers as well as valves at top speed and almost silently. This immediately ensures fresh air in production rooms, laboratories and other sensitive areas. Robust motors, gearboxes and housings guarantee a longer service life here – even under the harshest of conditions. The automatic current reduction at standstill, as well as a novel mechanical inhibiting torque lock, lower the energy consumption to a minimum.

The fast running actuators are available as rotary and linear actuators with open-close or modulating control. Freely parameterisable types are now also available. These allow the running time, torque, operating range and position feedback to be optimised to the respective application. Cables, form-fits, clamps and the label can be adapted individually on request. And because they are operated exactly the same as all other proven Belimo actuators, no special training is required for their use, reveals the company’s press release.
