Chillventa,
the International Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and
Heat Pumps Trade Fair, recently
announced that as of February 7th, 439 companies and organizations
had registered for a net display space of 25,166 m². The companies listed
in the exhibitors directory also include country pavilions from Great Britain, the USA,
Spain, Turkey and China. We are very satisfied with
the development of Chillventa, says Gabriele Hannwacker, Exhibition Director
of Chillventa Nürnberg 2008. The number and names of the companies registered
speak for themselves.
Besides
the positive development in the number of exhibitors and the space booked, the supporting
programme is increasingly taking shape. Chillventas many honorary sponsoring
organizations are involved with attractive and top-quality forums and symposia,
such as the noted ASERCOM Symposium and the International Heat Pump Symposium.
Other highlights include events on Commercial Refrigeration and
Refrigeration in the Food Trade. The 2nd day of the exhibition is devoted to
planners, with a special programme with the working title of New Air
Conditioning in a Day. ASHRAE, the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating
and Air-Conditioning Engineers, is also taking part in the supporting programme
at Chillventa and will offer short courses from the ASHRAE Learning Institute.

Furthermore, Chillventa is
involved in the new BFS/ESaK
Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Science in Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning Technology, founded by ten companies and five private persons on
December 2007. According to the organizers press release, the main purpose of
the foundation is to promote education and science in refrigeration and air
conditioning technology, for example, through the presentation of prizes, the
award of scholarships and grants to official and non-profit institutions and
general promotion of refrigeration and air conditioning research and
development. We want this active support to make our commitment to the
industry absolutely clear, says Walter Hufnagel, Member of the Management
Board of NürnbergMesse and curatorium member of the BFS/ESaK Foundation.
