Midea Group to expand business in Belarus |

Top managers of the Chinese holding company Midea, one of the countrys three
largest producers of household appliances such as heaters, air conditioners and
compressors, confirmed their intention to invest in Belarus economy.
The statement to this effect was made recently by Midea owner and
Chairman of the Board of Directors He Xiangjian at a meeting with President of
Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. According to He Xiangjian, this is his first
visit to Belarus
but he has already got favourable impressions about the country and its
capital. Belarus boasts sustainable
development and social stability. Minsk is a very clean and beautiful city, he
said. I see Belarusian businessmen are very hard working and I am confident
about the necessity to invest in Belarus economy, He Xiangjian underlined.
According
to the companys press release, President Alexander Lukashenko stated: We are
ready to create all the necessary conditions for [Midea] to expand [its]
business in central Europe. The President added he
hopes it was not the last meeting with representatives of the Chinese business.
I am sure other companies will follow you as one of the largest Chinese
companies into Belarus. |
