ASTM International is accepting papers for the 2009 Advantage Award |

ASTM International, one of the
worlds largest standards developing organizations, is seeking success stories
that demonstrate the benefits of standardization for the 2009 ASTM
International Advantage Award. The goal of the award is to gather real-life
examples that support the positive value of ASTM standards, which are the technical underpinnings of global commerce and have
broad reach in todays competitive business environment, according to the
organizations press release.
Original papers provide background information and
data showing such values as cost savings, efficiency, market access, etc. The
deadline for submissions is June 1, 2009, and the cash prizes are $15,000 for
the first prize, $10,000 for the second prize and $5,000 for the third prize.
Winning papers will be published in ASTM Internationals bimonthly magazine, Standardization News.
