A new “UVC Kit for Unitary Air Conditioners” from Steril-Aire, Inc. provides the most economical and long-lasting ultraviolet C performance available. Designed for easy installation in unitary systems of less than 5 tons, the kit may be used with mini-split and ductless systems, split systems, packaged terminal air conditioning (PTAC) units, heat pumps and window units.

A compact power supply and convenient mounting options allow installation flexibility close to the face of the coil, where the patented “UVC Emitter™” delivers high output germicidal energy that eliminates biofilm and mold as well airborne microbial contaminants. The device keeps coils in a constantly clean state, saving money by reducing HVAC energy use and eliminating chemical coil cleanings. It also reduces the spread of infectious diseases and curbs the major source of allergy and asthma discomfort in apartments, condos and homes, hotels and motels, dormitories, and smaller commercial, retail and industrial environments.

The UVC kit includes two mounting options to fit most major brands. Optional mounting accessories and custom options are also available.
