TROX Heathrow Airport TROX España, a subsidiary of Trox Group, the Great Britain's leading supplier for air conditioning and ventilation systems, was awarded the project to develop and produce Multi Service Chilled Beams for the luxurious "Galleries", which are the British Airways business lounges. In addition to providing the multi service chilled beams, TROX also supplied fan coil units and air grills for this prestigious project.

The newly built Terminal 5 of London's Heathrow Airport is the UK’s largest free standing building. The floor to ceiling glass walls and the departure lounge’s single-span, waveform glass roof mean the space is bathed in natural light and offer amazing views of the world’s busiest international airfield.

According to the company’s pres release, the air conditioned buildings reach their maximum level of creativity with Air-Water Systems and this solution fulfils the highest requirements of power consumption and customized design. With the installation of ground induction units, hidden under the ground, is possible to execute completely glazed facades which make possible the creation of great elegance buildings.

The specifically developed architectural shapes of the air-water systems were adapted to the ceiling structure and contain many different types of lighting. The design was developed in close cooperation with YRM Ltd. architects and the WSP Group.
