Low carbon awards celebrate industry leaders PDF Print E-mail

CIBSEThe 2010 CIBSE Low Carbon Awards, which took place on February 3, 2010, highlighted and celebrated the achievements that can be made by using energy certification to drive real tangible savings in public buildings. CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessor Darren Jones was rewarded for his submission which detailed the observations and opportunities identified whilst undertaking an Air Conditioning Inspection at Eland House, London.

 

Atkins were named Consultancy of the Year, while Wates won the Contractor of the Year award. Max Fordham collected the New Build Project of the Year, Hackney and London Fire Brigade won Refurbishment of the Year. Cibse low carbon energy assessors Andrew Gardner and Darren Jones won the EPC and DEC categories, with Gardner named as Low Carbon Consultant of the Year.

 

“CIBSE believes that changing buildings and cities is the first and fastest step to a less carbon intensive world.  All the engineers, architects, facilities and energy managers recognised here tonight are united in their aim to create a sustainable built environment,” said CIBSE President Mike Simpson.
