Sustainable Innovation in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Network (SIRAC) will be holding a free REAL Zero workshop on 11th March 2011 at University College Dublin (UCD). The event is being hosted by the School of Electrical, Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and is organised in collaboration with the Irish Institute of Refrigeration.

The event will feature a number of presentations from UCD researchers giving a synopsis of the collaborative work with various industry partners and will also include a tour of the facilities at UCD.

The main objectives of the event are:

• To highlight the activities of UCD in the areas of refrigeration & air conditioning;
• To showcase a successful academia-industry collaboration between UCD and ThermoKing Ltd, which has been supported by Enterprise Ireland;
• To carry out the unique SIRAC ‘needs-exercise’ aimed at fostering further academia-industry linkages between partners;
• To highlight the ongoing activities of the Institute of Refrigeration Ireland.
